Zippo sometimes wont light in cold weather?

My zippo lighter sometimes doesnt like to light in colder weather, it sparks just fine and once i bring it inside it will light up fine. I know that all the fuel is in it and the wick is fine too, so i think all it has to do is just the cold weather, but i looked it up on google and it says zippos are sposed to be able to light in colder weather, so idk|||That problem could be because of the lighter fluid you're using. Cold weather requires a very volatile lighter fluid. I've always had good luck with Ronsonol.

Also, check to make sure your wick is trimmed and at the right height. Keep your lighter in your pocket next to your body where it will stay warmer.|||Ive discovered that the fluid kind of turns to a powdery white substance wen it gets cold, I do buy the zippo brand fluid, and as long as i have it in my pocket to stay warm it lights up right away

|||Have you pulled the wick out to lengthen it? If you have, it may be tangled up in the cotton packing. Any kinks in the wick will block the fluid from coming up.

Pull out all the packing and repack the lighter. Break the cotton packing up in 5 or 6 pieces. Start with putting a piece of layer of cotton in first then lay wick on top of it. Then repeat so wick is woven through the cotton. This gives it maximum exposure to the fuel soaked cotton.|||Click my name and please answer my recent question because i answered urs! Answer: Nope :( sorry they dont work in cold weather! I've tried last winter!|||It's your lighter's way of telling you to stop smoking.|||cold weather doesn't effect on ur Zippo.
