What's the most efficient way to know how safe a particular neighborhood you may be considering moving to is?

I'm just wondering, like how you can check the weather on google quite efficiently and reliably, is there a similar system for checking this^ ? Thank you for reading :)|||The best way to find out how safe a neighborhood is to talk with the local police about crime rates and police activity in the area you are considering. Another way, is to talk to the neighbors. Most will be very happy to tell you what you want to know. A neighborhood with well maintained lawns and homes shows pride of ownership, is also a good sign.|||Driving through a neighborhood on the week ends and at night can tell you about a neighborhood.

You can see what the people look like and what kind of cars are there and if it is noisy and are people hanging out in front of the stores. If grown men are walking around and hanging around in front of stores during the day that is a good sign they are on welfare. And are selling drugs there.|||Urban neighborhoods (in a city) = statistically not safe

Suburban neighborhoods (near a city) = depends on how much you pay

Rural neighborhoods (far from any city) = statistically safe

/thread|||Read the online version of the local newspaper, go by there of an evening about 11PM and see how it looks. Look at the local convenience stores - bullet proof glass and graffiti are always bad signs.|||Look at the price of flats - safe areas are more desirable so prices tend to be more higher!
