What is wrong with google earth's weather map?

For the last few days there has been pieces missing out of their weather map. These are shapes range from rectangles, triangles, and diamond shapes. Right now it is above the Arctic Ocean but it was over Australia a few days ago. Why is this and why does it move and take on different shapes? |||I think it's just different areas where they have no weather data... The different shapes are just the shape of the area.
